How often do we hear from family or friends after holidays or vacation: "I need to have some detox days"? This usually means a couple of days of eating kefir, vegetables, or fruits to get back in shape. However, such a solution doesn’t always bring long-term results, and frankly, it often creates the illusion of cleansing.
Women who have decided to change their lives by giving up unhealthy foods and habits have done so consciously and permanently. They don’t opt for short-term diets, but instead, they have completely revised their diet, achieving not only a slim figure but also better well-being, glowing skin, and energy. If you're aiming for such a lifestyle, our selection of blogs on healthy eating and living will be a great helper for you.
Ingredients:
Charlotte (for a round mold with a diameter of 30 cm):
- Borodinsky bread — 2 small loaves
- Fat-free milk — 500 g
- Vanilla — 1/2 pod
- Stevia — 1/3 tsp
- Cinnamon — 1/3 tsp
- Nutmeg — a pinch (freshly grated)
- Remove the crusts from the bread and cut it into slices 1–1.5 cm thick. It's better to use yesterday's bread, but if it's fresh, cut it in advance and let it sit in a single layer on a towel for 1-2 hours, turning it several times.
- Prepare the milk for soaking the bread. Boil it with half of the vanilla pod, cut lengthwise, and let it sit for 10 minutes, then remove the pod. Scrape the seeds with the tip of a knife and return them to the milk. Add spices and stevia, and cool slightly.
- Peel the apples, remove the seeds, and cut them into thin slices, then divide them into 2-3 parts.
- Heat a thick-bottomed saucepan, add Calvados, juice, or water, pour in the washed dried cranberries and sliced apples. Add the sliced vanilla pod, stevia, cinnamon, nutmeg, Jamaican pepper, and orange zest, and cook, stirring, over low heat until the liquid evaporates.
Note: If you have an ice cream maker, prepare the ice cream according to the instructions (the recipe is designed for a 1-liter ice cream maker). If you don't have one, cool the mixture in the freezer, stirring periodically, until fully frozen.
